Looking for the buttons

Well, I still haven't blocked it yet so the FLS is a bit bumpy - but oh, so soft and warm.

I bought some buttons back in October but I'm not liking them so much. They are kind of a dull wood - I might go with a shiner one.

Oh, and I couldn't resist the Vestuary. I sorted my needles, found the pattern and cast on for the Abrazo Vest from Knitty using this old poncho yarn.

Love the colors so I'm glad I can use it. It makes me feel so thrifty!

A big day tomorrow!

Knitting wise: join me at our own MKG's annual fall Knit-Out, with knitting clinics, a fashion show, a fastest-knitter contest, and representatives from local yarn shops. And THERE WILL BE BUTTONS! ASK ME ABOUT THE BUTTONS!

Admission is free. For directions to the mall, go to the Mall's website www.brookdaleshoppingcenter.com.

The fun will run from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. I am actually not sure how long the buttons will hold out . . .

Earlier in the day, I'm going to the MMRF Race for Research at 9 a.m. at Lake Phalen. I just found out that we were going (Thanks, Mr. Daisy!), so I don't know if I'll run or walk. Either way, I'll be sweating!

The Saturday Seven were all videos or DVDs. Someone else can find a little room for them!

It's in the bag.

Oh, come on, you didn't see that coming? I wanted you to see how it all folded up into a little clutch bag. I had a great time picking out at button today. They were all gorgeous at my local fabric store. I might have to start a button stash as well as a yarn stash!

Now, on to the "Paws to Remember" scarf and a busy evening watching Mr. Daisy and Youngest Child play the Wii. What an exciting life we lead.
